This policy explains how New Punjab Coaches Ltd, trading as NP Coaches ("we", "us"), collects and uses personal data when you use our website np-coaches.co.uk, book travel, request a quote or use our services. We are the data controller for this information. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

  • Contact & enquiry data — your name, email, phone number and the details you give when you contact us, request a quote or report lost property.
  • Booking data — journey, date, passenger and payment-confirmation details when you book the Daily Express service or other travel.
  • Payment data — card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and usage data collected by essential and (with your consent) analytics cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

How we use it & our lawful basis

  • To provide and confirm the travel, quotes and services you ask for — performance of a contract.
  • To respond to enquiries and reunite you with lost property — legitimate interests.
  • To meet safety, licensing and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
  • To send non-essential analytics or marketing — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Sharing

We share data only with the providers that help us run our services — for example Stripe (payments), our email provider and, for school transport, the ShuttleID ticketing platform — and with authorities where the law requires. We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected or as required by law (for example, lost-property contact details for up to one month; booking and accounting records for the periods required by HMRC).

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you can request access to your data, ask us to correct or erase it, restrict or object to processing, and request portability.
